Dr. Weber is a medical hematologist/oncologist. He began practicing at St. Mary’s Medical Center after training in internal medicine at U.C. Davis. He did his fellowship at Scripps Clinic Medical School at St. Louis University.
Dr. Weber has an interest in both general hematology and a specialty interest in melanoma and clinical trails. In line with those interests, he has a private practice in hematology/oncology and heads up the Cancer Clinic at St. Mary’s Hospital and is the Chairman of the Cancer Committee. He is also the Associate Director of the Northern California Melanoma Center, a center that studies clinical trials, malignant melanoma, and is involved in the treatment of a broad array of patients with melanoma.
Dr. Weber enjoys the practice of hematology/oncology and an interest in clinical drug development because it offers him a broad range of clinical problem solving. Patients with cancer offer a very complex range of problems, requiring a lot of different skills—evaluating diagnostic tests, looking at the effectiveness of various treatments and working with patients and their families as they work through the complex range of cancer treatments.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Dr. Weber loves living in this city with his wife and three kids who go to school here.
