Dr. ChanObstetrics and Gynecology,
Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

Dr. Chan is a board certified Ob/Gyn and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Chan was born and raised in Hong Kong. At 15, she moved with her family to San Francisco, where she attended Mercy High School. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Chan spent two years working in a Hematology laboratory at Harvard Medical School, where she co-authored multiple scientific publications.

Initially planning on becoming a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist, Dr. Chan instead fell in love with Obstetrics and Gynecology during her medical school clinical rotation at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Drawn by the possibility of taking care of a woman through her adolescent to postmenopausal stage, the never-ceasing joy and wonder of childbirth, and the excitement of utilizing complex skills to perform surgery, Dr. Chan confirmed her decision to become an Ob/Gyn. After finishing medical school at Einstein, she stayed in the same institution for her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training. During her residency, Dr. Chan was selected by medical students to receive the Leo M. Davidoff Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Teaching of Medical Students. At graduation, she was selected by the faculty to receive the Science Day Scientific Research Award.

After completing her medical training, Dr. Chan decided to move back home to be with her family in San Francisco. She currently is a practicing partner at Pacific Women’s Ob/Gyn Medical Group and an active member of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at California Pacific Medical Center.

Besides taking care of her patients, Dr. Chan enjoys traveling, reading, attending symphonies, and practicing her newest obsession, Bikram yoga.
