In the past you may have heard me talk about antioxidants and their anti-cancer properties. Antioxidants can be found in most fresh fruits and vegetables of all different colors, in fact, the more colors in your diet the better (and I’m not talking about that multi-colored, sugary breakfast cereal). But these anticancer agents can also be found in some spices as well. The antioxiant Curcumin is found mainly in the spice Turmeric, which is the substance that makes some curries yellow. An added benefit is that it may also help to counter the negative effects on the body of high fat foods. So if you eat yellow curry you can be happy that you’ll be benefiting from Curcumin.
