A recent study concluded that taking a baby aspirin daily, could lower a person’s risk for colon cancer by as much as 24%.

There was a very interesting research article in the British Medical Journal Lancet which concluded that taking a baby Aspirin daily, which is 81mg, could lower a person’s risk for colon cancer by as much as 24 %. The study looked at the results of a 14,000 person trial over 20 years that was originally meant to find out the effects of taking low dose aspirin and strokes. But now there appears to be some benefit in regards to preventing colon cancer. Now, before you go out and start taking a baby aspirin every day remember that taking aspirin does have side effects of increased bleeding and stomach and other intestinal problems like ulcers. So make sure you check with your doctor to see if taking a baby aspirin daily would be safe for you.
