It’s good that more people are exercising regularly. It’s a great way to keep your muscles strong, heart in shape and blood pressure down. It’s also a great way to control your weight. Just remember that expending all that energy means you will need to eat. It’s important to eat both before and and after a workout with a mixture of protein and carbohydrates. Possible pre-exercise snacks would include a banana with a tablespoon of peanut butter or a bowl of oatmeal. And, as always, don’t forget to hydrate.
