Many hepatitis B patients’ immune systems are able to reverse the infection within six months, but others are not so lucky and will have to manage this disease for a lifetime. How I would treat a patient who has hepatitis B would depend on their individual signs and symptoms. I will give you two common clinical presentations of hepatitis B.

Patient B has hepatitis B with symptoms of fatigue, nausea, headaches, loss of appetite, diarrhea or loose stool, yellow or dark urine, achy joints, yellow eyes and skin and sharp abdominal pain under the right ribcage.
In patient A’s case, I would treat liver inflammation by clearing Liver heat and nourishing Liver Yin. In patient B’s case, I would treat liver inflammation by clearing Liver damp-heat congestion.
