The season for asparagus has begun and that means there is another great fresh vegetable available again to keep you in good health.
Asparagus are packed with a variety of vitamins and minerals which include vitamins A, C, E, K, thiamine, and folic acid, among others. They are also a good source of fiber. Here in the Bay Area we get most of our asparagus from the Sacramento River Delta and the Central Valley. So this Spring add some asparagus to your meals.
