Take short showers using lukewarm water. Hot and long showers may feel great, but will dry out your skin. Dr. Kwan suggests 10 minutes; soaking in a tub for 30 minutes will definitely dry your skin out.
Use gentle non-soap cleansers. Avoid scrubs; just use your hands to cleanse the skin. Also minimize rubbing of the skin when you are toweling dry. Immediately after you get out of the shower, moisturize liberally across your whole body . If you feel especially dry, moisturize another time during the day. • About Dr. Kwan
